Christmas Sonnet

It's that time of year
Gifts under the tree
Santa Claus is here
Presents just for me.
Snow starts falling down
Town is strung with lights
There's no time to frown
Christmas is tonight.
I hear sleigh bells ring
Stockings are hung up
Christmas carols we sing
Drinking cocoa from a cup.
It's better than weekends
I wish it would never end!
